                 Everything costs money nowadays, and a lot of agent’s money is heading towards online advertising. But the question on everyone’s mind is most likely, are we getting our money’s worth?

                  If you look at your statistics from your online ads, you may see that not many people are clicking on your ads.  Do not be alarmed because they are probably taking other actions to reach you, such as researching your company more on Google or going directly to your company’s website.  Research from the company CrowdScience showed that more than half of all internet users in the WORLD had clicked at least one online advertisement in the past 6 months.

 Who is mainly clicking these ads?  The studies show that the older age group (ages 55 and up) are more likely to click an online ad than the youngest age group (15 – 24).  Also, those with college degrees are more likely to click an online ad than those with only a high school degree.  The 55 and older group is not as trusting as the younger group, and many think that the ad will give them a virus.  Another reason for not clicking the ad is that they just don’t want to leave the site they are currently on.  Surprisingly, a larger percentage of the 15-24 age group seem to be nearly numb to online advertising, not even normally seeing them on any page they are on.

The reasons FOR clicking an ad, however, are even at 39% – either the ad showed a product or service the potential client was already interested in, or something caught their eye they had not previously considered. 

                When you are setting up advertisements online, keep in mind that not everyone is going to click on your ad, but it doesn’t mean that they are not noticing your name.  If your name is the name they see more often, then homebuyers and sellers will most likely remember your name before another agent.
