With technology comes the age old question, Do I really need several different passwords? The answer is YES! You should have a unique password for every online account, even the retail ones, because scammers have been known to hack into those as well. To be extra safe, you should change you most important passwords—those for email, financial institutions, and sites like PayPal—every 6 to 12 months.

I know what you’re thinking it is impossible to remember all those different passwords and even more difficult to remember which goes where, but trust me knowing that every time you log onto a website that your information will be safe is worth it.

Here is a tip that I use so that I only have to remember one password. You can create a Google document. In the file, list all your log-in details, including screen names. You can access the document from any computer in the whole wide world, you’ll be safer from harm, and you won’t have to use so much brain power.
